We love running wooden surfboard building workshops. Don’t get us wrong, we love building surfboards ourselves, but what makes the workshops so special is that we get to share the smiles and special moments of building that first board over and over again. Sharing’s caring, as they say. Plus, building your board with your own two hands allows you to watch it grow and come to life before your eyes.
You don’t have to be an experienced woodworker or surfboard shaper to qualify for our courses. Enthusiasm, patience and a willingness to learn new skills are all you’ll need to bring with you.
Over five days, you’ll build the surfboard of your choosing alongside a maximum of two other people, with us guiding you through each step of the process. We’ll have already prepped the raw materials for you before you start (the boring, dusty bits) so your job is to construct your surfboard and shape it. We then take it to our trusted laminator who finishes it ready to be splashed in the sea. To round things off, we can either work out delivery for your board or you can come and collect it and join us for a surf.
